Why I Built This

I’m a keen sailor who couldn’t find a learning tool that felt practical and focused, so I decided to build my own. Sailing Skills Companion is designed to make theory study feel lighter, faster, and more effective.

Not an RYA Site

This is not an RYA website and is not affiliated with the RYA. It is an independent learning aid intended to support your study.

Privacy Commitment

Authentication

Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth. We do not store your password. Supabase processes login and account recovery on our behalf.

Data We Store

We store only what we need to deliver the learning experience: course enrollment, practice sessions, question progress, and optional profile metadata (email and display name).

Data Access & Security

Access is protected by row-level security (RLS) rules in the database. Your data is only visible to you, except where administrative access is required to manage course content.

Data Retention

You can delete your account at any time from the Progress page. This removes your account and associated data from our systems.
